ANNOUNCEMENT: New Director, Advocacy and Economic Development
The Ottawa Board of Trade is pleased to announce the appointment of Mallory Clyne as our new Director, Advocacy and Economic Development.
Mallory brings more than 15 years of experience in public affairs, communications, and government relations with a focus on economic policy.
Most recently, as Director of Public Affairs at The King’s Trust Canada, she led national engagement strategies to elevate the organization’s impact and influence youth employment policy. Prior to that, she served as Director of Public Affairs at the Toronto Region Board of Trade, where she worked to amplify the perspectives of business to decision-makers across all levels of government.
Previously she served in senior positions in the office of the Canada’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Canada’s Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, as well as in the office of the Deputy Premier of Ontario, where she rolled out major policies related to industry and Canada’s economy.
In her new role, Mallory will lead our advocacy work, with a particular focus on economic development and advancing the important work outlined in our Downtown Action Agenda — a strategic initiative aimed at revitalizing Ottawa’s urban core.
We are confident that Mallory’s expertise, drive and vision will further strengthen the Ottawa Board of Trade’s role as the voice of business in the National Capital Region. Please join us in welcoming Mallory to our team.
