Ottawa , October 18, 2019, – As part of the Les Grands Projets event, a collaboration agreement has been signed between the the Ottawa Board of Trade (OBoT), the Chambre de commerce de Gatineau (CCG) and  the Regroupement des gens d’affaires de la capitale nationale (RGA).

From this agreement signed at the National Arts Centre (NAC) came the Gatineau-Ottawa (GO) group which aims at making our region the best place to do business in Canada, the best place to live, work and play – as well as the best place to invest, study and visit.

According to the three organizations, it is their role to ensure a business prosperity in the Ottawa-Gatineau area, also as a competitive business landscape. “We are beyond excited to get to work with two other organizations who want to move forward the same way we do we want to be positioned to impact community prosperity through our focus on advocacy, economic development and strategic initiatives on behalf of the business community in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.”, explained Sueling Ching, President & CEO of the Ottawa Board of Trade.

The brand-new document was signed by Yves Ducharme, Chair of the RGA Board of Directors, Pierre Samson, Chair of the CCG Board of Directors and Robert Rhéaume, Director of the OBoT Board of Directors.

Through this agreement, the three organizations commit to develop a greater mutual assistance, to jointly develop networking opportunities, to share opportunities and to provide an annual directors meeting between the three chambers.

The first-ever GO meeting will take place in the Counsellors room at the Ottawa City Hall, December 2019.

During this meeting, the organizations will discuss a specific term that will be disclosed at the beginning of 2020. They will work closely to make organizations like them, a single voice for businesses in the National Capital region.
