The SME Council has been meeting weekly since March 18, 2020 with the intent of supporting our small and medium enterprises during the COVID-19 crisis (SURVIVE) and as we prepare for recovery (THRIVE).
We are focused on recommendations for policy and programs at all levels of government. The primary issue is cash flow as revenues have declined significantly. In light of the support programs that have been announcement, we have turned our attention to access and implementation.
In addition we are designing ways to support our business community through;
- Business Promotion: Buy Local Campaigns, #memberspotlight, M2M program
- Clear Communications (e-blasts, social media and website)
- Virtual Events for Information, Inspiration and Innovation
Our goal is to preserve SMEs and set them up for rapid recovery.
